32. Laughing Girl, Tibet |

 We were well into a month-long trek through the Tibetan Mimalaya. Our mission: to wave to the immense Kangshung face of Everest. When I made this photo we had just come over the 17,300 foot Langma La. This woman, her family and their pack animals supported our trek. When I pointed my camera at her she burst out laughing. I remember laughing too at the joy of being able to breathe on the descent. Nancy Green |
