This photo was taken a little bit higher in the Markha Valley Highlands. We met this nomad family in a tea-tent where we had a rest. I ordered a milk-tea and some biscuits. On my trip I used to buy biscuits and share them with the kids, because they could never afford them. On the photo you see the little boy holding a biscuit. He was very shy (his older sister wasn't though!). When I asked them for a picture, they were pleased. His mother was knitting socks. It's amazing to see LAdakhi women knitting while they are walking around!
